I Wish the Real World Would Just Stop Hassling Me

This was my outfit to the Shedd Aquarium yesterday. I went with my Ma, Pop, brother and niece. Oh my God was it fun. I was a bit tired, since I had to get up at 8:30 to get some community service at my local church, which wasn't that bad. It was actually pretty fun, I just sat in the main office and helped with papers and stuff and got to talk to all the staff and Religious Ed teachers. Then I came home at 11 and we were off to the Shedd. After standing in the cold for a bit, we saw a Spongebob 4D show and my niece was scared at first but she got into in and giggled and laughed the entire time. We then moved on to the tanks and junk and she ran around SCREAMING fishes and whatnot. After that we (as in me and my niece) enjoyed a nice nap on the car ride home.



Now it's Sunday and I've got an essay to write and some Red Lobster to attend to. So let me get crackin' on that essay. Hope everyone had a great weekend !

Oh Teenage Hopes Arrive At Your Door

Words can not describe how excited I am..no work today ! Wow how pathetic am I to get so excited over not working..and at the same time dreading the fact that I have to work 5 hours tomorrow. Whatever, it's the weekend and its very much needed. Saw my niece yesterday (Yay!) and we watched the most ridiculous, over acted, bubbly t.v. shows and screamed every time. Now my niece is 1 years old and she already has a vocabulary of probably 20-30 words..no joke and she can go potty of the toilet.. I know I know its very aunt like of me to say that she's the smartest baby but..she IS the smartest baby. Hands down. God, I can talk about her for hours. Any who, I just got done working out and eating some delicious chicken with bell peppers.. definitely my favorite healthy meal. Well I'm wicked tired and wicked smelly so I am going to bid you adieu and get down to some serious Buffy watching. Happy Thursday !

Better Run Girl, You're Much Too Young Girl

Yeah yeah yeah (not the band), I am late yet again on this post. Oh well. Today as every Tuesday I worked.. but I got to watch American Idol with the kids which wasn't all that bad. I've started a diet and workout regimen and am all too excited. I just want to lose this baby fat I've been carrying around for much too long! I want to lose at LEAST 20 lbs. So this burst of energy better last ! Oh my god, I started reading My Custom Van...and 50 Other Mind-Blowing Essays That Will Blow Your Mind All Over Your Face by Michael Ian Black ( Michael & Michael Have Issues, Wet Hot American Summer, all those I Love the 70's,80's specials) I recommend it to anyone with a brain. I am only about 5 stories in and I've literally laughed out loud for everyone of them..I must warn you his sense of humor is, and I quote, "dry, absurd, and unforce" and plain ol' inappropriate. Loves it. (Definitely beats My Horizontal Life by Chelsea Handler) The last few books I've read have been so sad and tragic so this time around I wanted to start the year off with some funny books, hence the reason I am going to start reading books by comedians (David Cross, Steve Martin, more Chelsea Handler, etc.) With the New Year comes a lot of new changes. Hopefully all good ones ! Next on my list..getting into UIC (fingers unbelieveably-so-tightly-crossed-my-hands-hurt-and-I'm-bruising-a-little) Pray for me bloggers !

Got a lovely picture message of my niece jumping on my bed while I was in school. She and my brother came over for a nap. Of course what he failed to do is pick up after she rampaged my room. Also she left her mini toilet seat on the seat (May I mention, she's only 1 and goes potty on the toilet, yeah..she's a friggin genius awesome baby) I don't care though, my little niece can do whatever her heart desires (:

Let Her See That Fancy Footwork

This is a combined post of yesterday and today..I've worked 10 hrs yesterday and today and I am beyond exhausted. Right now I'm just relaxing, and about to make myself a delicious plate of Chinese food. Now as you read before I cut my hair..like 3 1/2-4 inches which is kind of a big deal..but I find it really hard to find hairstyles that look good. I don't know, I'm extremely weird when it comes to certain hairstyles. I'm just frantically searching the net for some cute short curly hairstyles..so far, very unsuccessful. Ugh, whatevs. Here's my fashion posts..happy Friday !


I didn't particularly like my outfit that much yesterday but I was feeling very blah and really didn't want to wear sweatpants or a sweatshirt (part of my New Year's resolution) so I went with this..




By the way, my new favorite after school snack.. english muffins with Nutella (I was unaware of this product up until about 3 months ago but its the most delicious hazelnut spread) and orange or grapefruit juice..oh..my..god.. to die for.

Now I am truly and completely in love with Tegan and Sara (way creepy but whatever) I saw them in concert last year and wow..I died. I had been an avid listener since about 7th or 8th grade but then I knew like 4 songs.. After I saw them in concert I ran home and just about downloaded every C.D.. I even have my best friends and my dad hooked. They really do have an awesome poppy rock type of weird sound. Loves them. And below are my new Forever 21 booties I got about a week ago.

So today was a very tiring day. 6 hours of school then 4 hours of work.. But now is my relaxing time to eat Ramen and watch Buffy (: Starting-well not really starting, more like continuing- to freak out about college. I want to know if I got into Depaul or UIC yet because I really need to figure out my housing situation. I wish they would just hurry up and tell me ! Yes or a no, I just hate waiting. Aw well, waiting is really all I can do at this point. Definitely can't wait for this week to be over !





Oh I almost forgot. This black lab, Mitch, is a puppy my friend is fostering. My best friend Brittany is a volunteer at P.A.W.S (Peoples Animal Welfare Society) if you're unfamiliar with this, P.A.W.S shelters homeless animals, rehabilitates injured and orphaned wildlife, and empowers people to demonstrate compassion and respect for animals in their daily lives..so if you're going to get a puppy, go to a local P.A.W.S or animal shelter and give these cute little animals a good home. Lazy Sunday

Unlike the title, today was definitely not a lazy Sunday. @ 1 I took my mom to see The Lovely Bones.. absolutely loved it. As usual not nearly as good as the book, but the graphics and casting was amazing. After that we went on over to Barefoot Soles and I got myself a pair of cute mid-calf, black biker boots. Then we went to T.J. Maxx and could not for the life of me find anything cute, which is very unusual for me. Now I'm just looking for some outfit ideas for this upcoming week and giggling with anticipation to see my 1 year old niece tomorrow ! You'll here me talk about her QUITE often..she's my pride and joy and I love her to death.

There's A She Wolf In The Closet

This post is a real quick one.. yeah yeah yeah like all the others. I just don't have a lot of time. Its 1 a.m. and I'm still getting ready to go downtown tomorrow to visit the University of Illinois @ Chicago. I'm so excited ! Though I know I'll love it, I haven't gotten accepted yet..I still have hope though. Fingers crossed. Anyways I plan on looking super cute, maybe I'll snap a few pictures before I leave. Oh Mickey Your So Fine

This is a late post but hey better late than never.. not much happened yesterday (Thursday)I had work as usual..Watching middle schoolers literally makes me dread the day my kids turn that age. Honestly I don't remember being as rude and disrespectful as these kids are. And I was in middle school only 5 years ago! Its frustrating but at least I get to work with my best friend. Nobody's Gonna Break My Stride

Wowwww it's been a while since I've last posted something. I've recently been inspired to write more because of Tieka from Selective Potential is having a giveaway (fingers crossed) and I felt the urge to post another blog. Surprisingly being a senior in high school is a whole lot harder and more complicated the second semester of school..but it's Saturday which means school has left my brain completely. So I'm wicked excited..I went to the hair salon today (thank you Hair Trenz)and I got 3 and half inches cut off ! I absolutely loveee it ! I have a big ol' head of curly hair so its hard to have short hair but these layers are to die for! And on the way home I stopped at this cute little shop and got myself a vintage Ralph Lauren blazer and brown purse.. only 20$. Loves it. Well time to clean and blast my music.. This fashion post is from New Years Eve before I went downtown to celebrate my best friend's birthday..(I don't look too hot today) enjoy !
